How to find the perfect Wedding Gift

Published 21 May, 2010

The big day arrived your friends are getting married. The stressful time of preparation is over. But did you get the right gift?

If your friends preregistered then it is easy for you. Go online and buy them something from their list that fits in your budget. But if you want to be more creative and would like to give them something special then think about using your imagination. What about special memories you share with them? You can look at the pictures you took of the couple over the years and you can print them and put together and old fashioned photo album. This gift will be appreciated. Today where we store our digital pictures on our computers a simple photo album brings a lot of joy and memories back. The newlyweds will cuddle on the sofa and tell the stories to each picture.
If you are a good photographer you could offer the couple that you will take the pictures during the reception. You know the guest better than any hired photographer so will get some amazing pictures. But show your friends some pictures you took over the years so they can decide if they trust you on this.

Wedding gifts don’t have to be complicated. If you are not sure what they actually need get them something they can use like a gourmet basket as the Edinburgh preserve. They will eat the food and have a lot of fun with it.

I think a great new trend is to give green gifts. The couple starts a new period of their life and we want to preserve our environment for our kids. Think about eco friendly and fair-trade products nearly every store has them now. Or replace gift ideas you have with green gifts like a nice bottle of wine with organic wine.

In the end it is all about making the newlyweds happy. So think what your friends would like most and then go online and shop for some nice and affordable gifts. They will appreciate the time and effort you put into it.
