One of the most important part of bridal gown cleaning is the storage of your preservation chest. Opening your preservation chest after it is preserved does not affect the wedding dress storage or your preserved wedding gown.

Bridal Gown Cleaning Accessories

If you included accessories for cleaning and preservation when you sent your gown in they usually are stored in the preservation chest.  Our expert team packages your accessories this way for the simplicity of having them all in the same place.  If you wanted to use them in the future, you could as long as you do not remove your bridal gown completely from the box. Customers also have an option to have their accessories boxed separately.

Guarantee

However, our guarantee is voided if you remove your gown entirely from the preservation chest.

This is for 2 reasons:

1. Your gown will be secured within the preservation chest to keep it in place and protect it from shifting over time.

2.  To ensure the gown has not been re-worn. This is the only way we know if you the gown has been worn again.

Inspecting your gown

After your bridal gown cleaning is complete, the preservation chest is shipped in a sturdy outer shipping box. We also use a secondary shipping box to protect the preservation chest during transport. The two outer boxes also help keep any dust and dirt away from the preservation chest. The boxes and preservation chest are not air-tight as fabric needs to ‘breathe’.

Opening the preservation chest will not void the guarantee. Only complete removal of the gown from the chest will void the 100 year guarantee. Once your gown is returned to you, you can open the wedding gown preservation chest with a letter opener or butter knife to see your bridal gown cleaning. We provide a pair of latex gloves that come back with your gown to avoid getting natural oils from your hands onto the gown. We recommend that you gently sift through the layers of your gown as needed in order to make sure that your bridal gown cleaning has been completed to your satisfaction.  There will also be some sealing squares enclosed so that you can reseal the inside packaging to keep any dirt or dust away from the gown.

Storing your bridal gown

Please store your gown in a COOL DRY AREA. It is important to not to store your wedding gown in basement or attic.
